1) District Walk WieNeu+ in Innerfavoriten Smart City

WieNeu+ is an urban renewal initiative that promotes climate-relevant innovations in the 3 areas of renewal & energy, participation and public space. Start 2021, duration 10 years. The integrated projects are implemented in an exemplary manner and are made replicable in the city. The first project area in the 10th district (“Innerfavoriten”) encompasses over 20 sub-projects, highlights will be explored on a walk through the project area.
2) Workshop: der Zukunftsanker - transformation of an old industrial site into a cluster for climate-ambitious companies

The Zero Emission City as a lively place to live and work. Right next to the event location, now still a production site of "Ankerbrot AG", 30.000m² Climate Campus is set to be developed.

3) Get to know CEU in Vienna: Sustainable Urban Development at Central European University in Vienna

Join this tour to get to know CEU’s activities in Vienna: You will receive an overview of the vision, mission, teaching and research projects of the department, with emphasis on topics related to sustainable urban development. Get to know two lighthouse projects:
Urban nature-based solution in H2020-supported project “Naturvation” and PHYSI, a startup incubated in CEU’s innovation lab, bringing research project outpouts to market.
Target Group: Anyone interested in urban nature-based solutions, urban metabolism, interactive green space planning
4) Accessibility and inclusion. An experience of awareness and discovery

Organiser: Austrian Association in Support of the Blind and Visually Impaired
During this walk, participants will have the opportunity to experience the role of a person with a disability.
Through simulations of visual impairments, reduced mobility, the challenges that people with disabilities encounter on a daily basis and the accessibility measures that the city of Vienna offers to overcome these barriers will be demonstrated and experienced.
Technological solutions for independent mobility through apps will also be shown.

1) Tour: First circular HUB for building culture

Materialnomaden offer expertise in architecture, urban planning, construction implementation and restoration, art and design, as well as structural design and guided self-construction. With this pioneering work, they are taking important development steps to advance circular processes in the construction industry.
Since 2017 the first circular hub for building culture is created at Kegelhalle, Kempelenpark. The overall goal ist o establish the concept of circular economy in the construction sector and bring sustainability tot he construction industry.
Join us on a tour through their workshop, warehouse, office and event space to learn more about circular construction and building culture.
